How do doctors enjoy sex at home if they examine people all day?

This sounds bizzare but how to doctors get sexual pleasure from their wives if they are giving breast exams all day and vaginal exams and helping patients with sexual problems?

Do they become numb to all sexual feelings?

If you think that sex is all about simply touching boobs and crotches, then you have a LOT to learn about sex, sweetie.

The brain is the biggest sex organ that you have. It is all about the intentionality behind the touch.

And helping patients with sexual problems means talking, it doesn’t mean bumping uglies.

    being a doctor you turn that part of it off… it not sexual when your examine someone… and most of the people are not the kind of people you want to see naked anyways.

    I think it’s about compartmentalization.

    They’re able to just turn off that part while they’re at work and be in "doctor mode" and then go back into "husband mode" when they’re home. A patient sitting on a paper covered bench in an exam room isn’t exactly sexy. ;P Being in a certain place can make you feel a certain way, so if he’s in a hospital he won’t get any sort of sexual feelings because that’s not the right type of environment, but once he’s home, in that different place, he will.

    i always wondered that. like, an obgyn, for example..wouldnt they feel entirely grossed out after awhile whenever they go to have sex with their partner after dealing with all of those ’sickening problems’ all day? >.<

    well usually you are stracted to you wife not all of these people you are having as patients yeah maybe there is the periotic person who is sexy to them just like for example…. your husband or boyfriend makes you have sexual pleasure but if your brothers best friend or neighbour could be like hey i got something on my penis could you check it out for me you are not going to have the same sexual feelings towards them as you do your husband or boyfriend !! :S

    Yes, upon entering medical school they are warned of losing all sexual feeling. I however did not listen. I became a doctor and gave over 10 breast exams a day. I came home to my wife and I had no desire to give her a breast exam… at all. It almost tore our marriage apart, luckily we were able to have kids, I don’t know how I did it… After I worked up to giving vaginal exams it became even worse, I didn’t even want to look at her. I think it’s because I’m actually gay. If you’re thinking about being a doctor don’t, because it will turn you gay. Just look at my story.
