How many hours do intern doctors work a week?
December 27th, 2009 | by admin |How often on average do they work??
Also, how often do resident doctors work?
I hear anesthesiologists don’t have to work as much, and I hear some specialist like surgeons work ALL the time. I have even heard of some doctors working 120 hours a week.
How often do they work?
And does anyone know how often psychiatric residents/interns work?
Thanks!
Interns and Residents work long hours probably around 50–80 hours a week depending. Anesthesiologist have to work around 50-60 hours a week or more depending if there on call. Yea, its possibly that some doctors work 120 hours week but not continuously. Doctors often work 6-7 days a week. A psychiatric resident or intern will probably work around 40-50 hours a week.
